Comment:
Very impressed with the tires. Far less road noise than I expected, although more than the previous tires on the car. Really only starts to be a nuisance at highway speeds with the windows down. Handling is excellent in dry and wet, and they get better traction in the snow than the Continentals and Firestone's I've previously run on the car. Still not as good as dedicated snow tires, but I haven't had any issues getting around in the snow even with all the hills around here. Didn't notice any change in the ride comfort over other tires I've used. Tire wear has been acceptable. Although they don't have a tread wear warranty, I've been happy with them. They've hardly lost any yet, despite my aggressive driving habits. The edges have rounded off a little on the front, but not as bad as other tires I've used, and I know my suspension needs some attention, but the rears are perfect yet and it's due for a rotation anyways. As for the H rating, well.. anyone who's driven one of the caddy's knows that although they're big and heavy, they've got the muscle to move them well into that 130mph range before the limiter will cut it off, and let's just say I haven't broken the belts in this set yet. ,-) And best of all, they have an excellent width whitewall, the second widest you can get from this manufacturer, and far wider than most anything else available from the name brands. They get dirty easily, normal for white walls, but they come clean very easily with Simply Green, a Scotch Brite pad and water. I would definitely buy these again, although I may try the ones with the 1.6" white wall and the standard speed rating simply because it's a caddy and the wider the white wall, the better, but that's just me.
