Comment:
I chose the Dakar version of the E10 for my trip from the UK to Morocco. I covered 4000 miles during the trip and tackled almost every type of terrain on my R1200GS (except mud). I did not venture over 75mph on road and my general riding style was relaxed. The tyre had loads of tread left when I returned and I never once needed to add any air pressure. I did not air down off road and I would recommend doing the same. I hit some massive rocks and potholes and the firm carcass of the tyre completely protected my cast wheels. The tyre changed the handling characteristics of the bike making it less willing to tip into bends and requires more correction while cornering on tarmac. At speeds above 80mph some slight weaving can occur but under throttle if overtaking this does not happen. The tyre wear has increased since I have been riding local due to me riding harder on tarmac. Overall if I did a similar trip again I would 100% use either this tyre or the E07 (Which I had on the rear) again.
