Nexen N blue 4 Season - Maximum performance 365 days a year
All-season tyre with M+S marking and snowflake symbol Nexen NBlue 4 Season from a well-known Korean manufacturer, has a wide size range, due to which it is suitable for small/middle class cars, SUVs and crossovers. The novelty was presented at the Reifen exhibition in 2016, and is optimally adapted for all-season use in temperate climates, which is reflected in the model name.

EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes
The European Union has introduced the EU Tyre Label by Regulation (No. 1222/2009) identically and bindingly for all EU member states. It applies to passenger car tyres, light commercial vehicle tyres and heavy commercial vehicle tyres produced after 01.07.2012.
Three different areas are tested: rolling resistance, wet grip and the rolling noise the tyre makes on the road.
The following are not affected by the EU Tyre Label: retreaded tyres, professional off-road tyres, racing tyres, tyres with additional devices to improve traction such as spiked tyres, T-type emergency tyres, special tyres for fitting to vehicles first registered before 1 October 1990, tyres with a maximum authorised speed of 80 km/h, tyres for rims with a nominal diameter of 254 mm or less or 635 mm or more.
With this regulation, the European Union is pursuing the goal of promoting economic and ecological efficiency in road traffic as well as increasing road safety on the one hand, and on the other hand, granting consumers more product transparency and at the same time serving as an active decision-making aid.
Already during the incorporation, experts criticise the fact that the EU Tyre Label unfortunately only shows a few product characteristics. Apart from rolling resistance, wet grip and rolling noise, which are the main focus of EU tyre labelling, tyres have much more important and safety-relevant product characteristics, such as aquaplaning properties, driving stability, service life, braking properties on dry and wet roads, behaviour in wintry conditions, etc.
Tyre manufacturers point out that test results from various institutions and journals remain an important information medium for the end consumer. These tests usually focus on further safety-relevant product characteristics besides the EU standard qualifications for tyre labelling, which are always important for the final customer.

18.12.2023 from Jeremy Spillane I can’t yet comment on grip in snow and ice, as I haven’t yet driven it in those conditions, although I did buy these tyres to be able to drive in any conditions, all year round. These tyres are only on the front of the car, as these were the only All Season tyres of the correct size for the front of this car. The rear tyres are a larger size, and I have a different make of All Season tyres on the back. The car drive’s perfectly with the tyres I have fitted, and it feels very grippy, and quiet, under all conditions. I am very impressed with these tyres and I’m confident they will be excellent in snowy and icy conditions as well. It is too early to cont on wear and MPG, but that is not an issue for me.
25.08.2023 from Malcolm Ash Excellent tyres, have used these tyres on many types of vehicles over the years and they have performed superbly. They are my go to tyre.
01.06.2022 from Marky L Whilst the grip is good in snow, these tyres really struggle to get the torque down to the road from the the 1.4 Hybrid 215PS during acceleration when the surface is wet OR dry. It's particularly bad in the wet, where the wheels spin easily. Even on the electric motor drive only, a dab of the throttle to over 80% power sets the wheels spinning at low speed. The Michelin Pilot's that were fitted as standard have much better grip on the wet roads than the Nexen. Therefore I wouldn't class the Nexen as "all season". It should really be classed as a winter tyre only. I wouldn't like to run these tyres all year round due to the inferior grip in most conditions (except snow of course). I wouldn't buy this brand if I wanted an all-weather tyre again. I'd purchase a proper winter tyre and swap around in the seasons as I've had to do with these anyway!
04.06.2020 from Raf Overall good tyres. Slightly noisy but not to extend. This is what you would get from all-weather tyre - bit of all. Not most economical on fuel consumption again this is all-weather tyre which is not as good Michelin Cross climate but good for its price.
