ADVANCED 4D-NANO DESIGN

Advanced 4D-Nano Design technology is the result of pioneering research and findings in molecular structures. It enables savings in fuel consumption of up to five per cent to be achieved compared to conventional tyre models, extends durability and mileage and significantly improves the tyre’s performance in wet conditions.

The sophisticated concave-convex design reduces light reflection and increases blackness.

LIGHT WEIGHT CONSTRUCTION

Light weight delivers lower rolling resistance plus improved handling stability.

OPTIMISED CONTACT PATCH

The optimised contact patch helps to improve life performance and reduce uneven wear. It suppresses increased ground pressure at rib ends and maintains uniform ground pressure within each rib.

CHAOTIC ARRAY

Random tread pattern over one pitch length reduces pattern noise during driving.

AERO DESIGN

The optimised tyre profile and smoother concave/convex tyre surface control air flow during driving and reduce driving resistance.

ROUND PROFILE

Uniform tyre deflection mitigates localised tyre deformation stress, and thus minimises unnecessary fuel consumption when the tyre is under load. This reduces rolling resistance and improves handling stability and ride comfort.

HYBRID BAND

Cords of varying stiffness are combined to achieve both suppleness and high rigidity. Vibrations transmitted from the road surface are suppressed, reducing road noise. And unnecessary tread movement is minimised, which improves durability at high speeds, handling stability and wear resistance.

EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes

The European Union has introduced the EU Tyre Label by Regulation (No. 1222/2009) identically and bindingly for all EU member states. It applies to passenger car tyres, light commercial vehicle tyres and heavy commercial vehicle tyres produced after 01.07.2012.

Three different areas are tested: rolling resistance, wet grip and the rolling noise the tyre makes on the road.

The following are not affected by the EU Tyre Label: retreaded tyres, professional off-road tyres, racing tyres, tyres with additional devices to improve traction such as spiked tyres, T-type emergency tyres, special tyres for fitting to vehicles first registered before 1 October 1990, tyres with a maximum authorised speed of 80 km/h, tyres for rims with a nominal diameter of 254 mm or less or 635 mm or more.

With this regulation, the European Union is pursuing the goal of promoting economic and ecological efficiency in road traffic as well as increasing road safety on the one hand, and on the other hand, granting consumers more product transparency and at the same time serving as an active decision-making aid.

Already during the incorporation, experts criticise the fact that the EU Tyre Label unfortunately only shows a few product characteristics. Apart from rolling resistance, wet grip and rolling noise, which are the main focus of EU tyre labelling, tyres have much more important and safety-relevant product characteristics, such as aquaplaning properties, driving stability, service life, braking properties on dry and wet roads, behaviour in wintry conditions, etc.

Tyre manufacturers point out that test results from various institutions and journals remain an important information medium for the end consumer. These tests usually focus on further safety-relevant product characteristics besides the EU standard qualifications for tyre labelling, which are always important for the final customer.

5 YEARS FALKEN WARRANTY

Falken Guarantee

With the warranty from Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, we offer you a credit for product defects for a period of five years, depending on the remaining tread depth.

Start of guarantee is the sale (proof of purchase) or the production date according to the DOT Tyre Identification Number (where an invoice is not available).

The guarantee ends after a period of five years if the tread depth in one of the main circumferential tread grooves is less than 2 mm or if the tyre age exceeds eight years.

Included are all Falken tires that you purchased from us.

Compensation in the form of a percentage credit or alternatively replacement tyres if the remaining tread depth is greater than 90%.

Condition:

If a manufacturing or material defect, or even everyday, normal usage leads to irreparable damage, you will receive a percentage credit or alternatively a Falken replacement tire depending on the remaining tread depth or age of the tire.

Excluded are all claims where the cause is related to improper usage (e.g. incorrect inflation pressure, overloading, use outside the conditions specified for this product, incorrect axle alignments, incorrect fitting, use in races/rallies), abuse (e.g. vandalism, theft) or external mechanical damage (e.g. impact damage). Repaired or retreaded tyres as well as all claims with regard to premature or irregular wear are also excluded.

This guarantee does not affect the statutory rights of consumers (liability for defects). The guarantor is Falken Tyre Europe GmbH
