The Ford Ka was one of just a few models in its class when it exploded onto the market in 1996. With only three doors, it had an impressively roomy feel for its size. The first generation was available with either a 53 or 95 HP engine - the latter option of which was known as a Sportka - and the second generation arrived on the market an astonishing twelve years later. Built in Poland like the technically similar Fiat 500, it was significantly more modern in appearance, but with a reduced choice of engines. Initially available with a diesel or petrol engine, it was equipped as standard with start-stop automatic transmission from October 2010 onwards.
