Ive always liked nokians and when going on honeymoon to the arctic circle in north sweeden at christmas (driving from the uk) i didnt hesitate to buy more. Surrounded by studded tyres and other nordic snow tyres once into the snow these performed as good in everyway and i always felt in full control never actually needing the tyre chains despite -23C weather and many inches of snow fall, we rode snow mobiles on the same road we had been driving on without issues. I even somehow managed to drive across an ice covered parking lot that was impossible to walk on, was like glass, yet we drove across without issue, We made it up some really steep hills and unploughed side roads (front bumper acting as a snow plough, really shocked me how good they was) and still returned over 65mpg over the 5000 mile trip. The rear set has been on for around 25k km and still have plenty of tread left. The fronts being on around half that. As a member of 4x4 response (volunteer responders who help out in times of adverse weather) i love snow driving and was abit hesitant about taking my wifes 2wd car on such a trip when my 4x4 wasnt proving to be reliable enough but i needed not worry. Didnt need the snow chains or any of the extra equipement id been adamant we would need when not if we got stuck. But these tyres proved how good nokian really are and i was a lifelong fan before.
