The Volkswagen Up! followed the Volkswagen Fox in 2011 and is a city car with the internal codename Volkswagen120. All the versions sold in this country roll from the line in Slovakia on their Volkswagen Up! tyres. Originally it was only offered with three doors, meanwhile it is also available with five doors. Three equipment trims are available. The black up! and white up! models have 16 inch wheels - you can find the right tyres at mytyres.co.uk. By contrast the E-Up! is an electric vehicle with a range of 130 km. It was introduced in 2013. In addition a cross Up!, an Up! GT and further models are planned. Despite its small crush-collapsible zone the Volkswagen Up! was awarded the maximum number of points in the Euro NCAP crashtest a few years ago, including 86% for the standard safety equipment. This not only includes the right Volkswagen Up! tyres, but also, for example, ABS and air-bags in the basic version - take Up!. At first the city car from Wolfsburg was only equipped with 1.0 litre engines. BlueMotion and methane gas are also offered. The latter has an additional price of 2,000 Euro which is said to be paid back after 50,000 km. In 2012 and 2013 there were about 42,000 registrations in Germany.
