The Renault Scenic has been available since 1996 - ever since it has rolled from the manufacturing line in France. One year after the start of production it was awarded the title of Car of the Year. The technical kinship with the Megane was optically not to be overlooked which is why the vehicle was called Renault Megane Scenic in the first years. Especially in the interior parts of its smaller brother were fitted. Meanwhile a 7 seater is available as the Grand Scenic, which cannot immediately be recognised as the Scenic's big brother. At the beginning the Renault Scenic was the most successful compact MPV and was soon available with all-wheel drive in order to be able to go off-road with the Renault Scenic tyres.
