The Opel Signum was built from 2003 until 2008, was based on the Vectra C and built in Rüsselsheim. Since the Signum utilised the wheelbase of the Vectra estate there was more room in the interior than in the Vectra limousine. In addition to that there were the individually arranged seats that could be folded down into the floor. With this space concept the Signum was meant to become Opel's top model and compete for market share in the upper class segment with other manufacturers. The range of engines was almost identical to that of the Vectra C which was offered in parallel - with the 250 bhp Turbo S as the most powerful option. Especially for this model it all comes down to the Opel Signum tyres with which the power can effectively be transmitted to the road.
