For more than 30 years
Ford Ranger tyres have been rolling along the roads of the world. At the same time it is offered from region to region in a different form. Above all in North America unique versions exist - here the fifth generation of the Ranger is currently on the market. It has been available since 1967, however, not as a model in its own right but as an equipment variant of the Ford F-series. This changed in
1982. Over time there have been several face-lifts and major changes to the pick-up, most recently in 2006. Outside of North America the current Ford Ranger is based on the Mazda BT-50. Nevertheless the looks and the engines differ from market to market.
In Germany the Ford Ranger is available with a single, extra and double cabin as well as a loading area of up to 2.32 meters in length. A new product line has been offered since 2012, however, not in North America. It can be ordered with a six-speed gearbox and for some engines with a six-speed automatic. The
Ford Ranger tyres are driven by the rear axle, an all-wheel drive can, however, be switched on. The safety equipment in each of the trims is extensive and includes, among others, downhill control, ABS and ESP, roll-over protection and hill start assistant.
