The BMW Z4 came on the market in 2002 as successor to the Z3. The first generation, which was built until 2008, which had the in-house codename E85, was initially only available as a roadster and later as a coupé. It was manufactured in the USA where it was first made available to customers. In this country the first BMW Z4 was delivered in 2003. To begin with the model was very successful, however the demand dropped significantly and in 2006 an extensive redesign was done. There was a choice of two engines, one was a V6 with 343 bhp. The second BMW Z4 generation, named E89, was introduced in 2009. A coupé is no longer available, however the roadster has an aluminium folding roof. It can be opened and closed electro-hydraulically in 20 seconds at speeds of up to 40 km/h, it does, however, reduce the size of the boot to tiny 180 litres. With the most powerful motorisation this product line accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. BMW offers an extensive range of safety equipment for the Z4, nevertheless the condition of the tyres plays a great role in reducing the risk of accidents. Check the profile of your BMW Z4 tyres regularly and replace the tyres in good time. mytyres.co.uk not only offers BMW Z4 tyres at a reasonable price but also a closely knit network of assembly stations for your next tyre change.
