The Pirelli Scorpion Zero was developed with a sporty look and feel in mind, making this summer tyre primarily an option for powerful SUVs. Such a tyre must stand up to high requirements: it should ensure safe vehicle handling both on- and off-road and offer sufficient grip across a complete range of surfaces. An asymmetrical tread design with Z-shaped elements guarantees the latter. Also important is the tyre's ability to offer a decent service life despite the demands placed on it by the weight of an all-terrain vehicle - special reinforcements provide the solution here. Because it's possible that the Pirelli Scorpion Zero will be driven at up to 300 km (186 miles) per hour in sizes such as 275/40 ZR20 106Y XL, it's essential that it maintains its robustness at high speeds. Pirelli takes care of this using integrated tread blocks and compact shoulder blocks.
