On a wet surfaces the directional tread is also noticeable - it drains water quickly and helps to prevent aquaplaning. SP WINTER SPORT 3D uses both the Multi-Radius Tread design (in short: MRT) and the Dunlop Self Supporting Technology (DSST).
At ADAC winter tyres test in 2009,SP WINTER SPORT 3D has received a final score as “balanced”. On icy roads it got the place - no other competitor was better.
