The Volkswagen Tiguan is small SUV that has been available since 2007. It was first shown in that year at the Frankfurt motor show IAA. The word Tiguan is a combination of tiger and leguan (eng. iguana) - it was chosen in a vote by the readers of the car magazine “Auto Bild”.
