The Volkswagen Eos, which is based on the Passat B6 chassis, came on the market in 2006, whereby the coupé-cabriolet has its own distinctive design. It belongs to the compact class and offered, for the time, a unique concept because it united a metal folding roof with a glass sliding/tilting roof. This earned the Volkswagen Eos, which is manufactured in Portugal, many buyers. The steel roof is electrically driven and needs 25 seconds to open and close. Thanks to Easy Entry - with which the front seats slide forward and backwards when folded, the Eos is a genuine four seater - at least as long as the optional wind deflector isn't assembled.
