Toyota RAV4 tyres

The RAV4 is a small SUV that has been available since 1994. It has a self supporting monocoque body instead of a ladder-type chassis. The idea behind this is to unite the best of a passenger car and an off-road vehicle in one car - this is what made the RAV4 so successful. The first generation had permanent all-wheel drive and a petrol engine with 129 bhp. Even though it doesn't have a gearbox reduction and other technical features typical for an off-road vehicle it coped quite well off the road. This was ensured by the corresponding ground clearance and central differential lock. After the three door version Toyota introduced the five door version which had a longer wheelbase and offered more room. In 1998 a cabriolet version followed as part of a facelift. Two years later the second generation of the RAV4 came on the market. It was significantly larger and was equipped with 150 bhp petrol engine or a 116 bhp diesel engine. In addition the Toyota RAV4 could now be ordered with front wheel drive and a 1.8 litre engine. From 2006 onwards the RAV4 III which is 12 cm longer was available, but no longer with three doors and again only with all-wheel drive, because the front wheel drive version was not accepted by the customers. This changed with the facelift in 2009. Now only engines with a capacity of at least two litres are fitted including a diesel engine with 177 bhp. The current RAV4 has been on the market since 2013 with two diesel engines and a petrol engine. Once again the car has grown.
